Market Operations sits at the heart of Betfair. It creates, produces and manages all dynamic betting and non betting content for Betfair, as well as 15 international homepages. This role sits centrally in the department supporting and driving improvements in the ongoing operations.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

A key element of the role will be providing and managing the ongoing training and development needs of the department, you will be responsible for establishing programs and launching this new initiative.

Further more you will provide Project Management for various large generic projects, such as the development of back office tools. Production Operations Support Engineer (Unix)

We are seeking for a dedicated, self-motivated, driven technical professional to join our team of engineers maintaining high-end, highly scaleable, web applications for the world's largest person-to-person betting site. You will work as a member of a 24x7 on-site operations team supporting the business-critical production systems.

A broad systems background with exposure to varied UNIX and Linux platforms is preferred. Experience should include Sun Solaris versions 7 to 9 and/or RedHat Linux, exposure to Windows 2000 Server/XP is desirable, as is experience of administration of Veritas products on Solaris. This is a junior systems administrator level position and would suit a senior operator with 2+ year experience.

The candidate requires advanced troubleshooting skills, with a focus on bespoke web-based applications as well as the ability to troubleshoot and solve common desktop, server and network problems.
